FINCA LA EMPERATRIZ
One wine made in Baños de Rioja won one of the awards of the wine contest at the Universal Exposition of 1878 (Paris): it was the wine entered by Eugenia de Montijo, Empress of France and the owner of a vineyard with great quality potential. In 1996, the Hernáiz family purchased that same estate, and brothers Eduardo and Victor Hernáiz took charge of a project aimed at producing quality wines.
One of the most highly valued Rioja Crianzas by Guides and the best wine critics. The grape comes from various vineyards over 40 years old. This wine is of exceptional quality thanks to the highly controlled, selective production process.
Amazing Reserva from Rioja Alta made with 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha. Blackcurrants, blackberries and ripe cherries that evolve slowly along with the vanilla from the wood to show the great aroma complexity of this rich wine that leaves flavors lingering on the palate.
A superbly fresh, fruity wine. Its alcoholic fermentation preserves all the "primary aromas" of the Viura grapes, hinting at citric fruits and apple and pear.
