WINE REGIONS IN SPAIN
Spain ranks third among wine producing countries worldwide, although wine is grown in every spanish province there are 13 major wine regions: RIOJA, RIBERA DEL DUERO, JEREZ, PENEDES, RIAS BAIXAS, PRIORAT, BASQUE REGION, BIERZO, CALATAYUD AND CAMPO BORJA, CASTILLA-LA MANCHA, JUMILLA, RUEDA and TORO. Currently we carry wines from 6 of the 13 major regions in our portfolio but our ultimate goal is to bring the best of every region to this country.
CIDER REGIONS IN SPAIN
Spain is the 5th largest cider producer in the European Union and there are 2 major cider regions: ASTURIAS and the BASQUE REGION. Although Asturias produces around 80% of the cider in Spain, Basque cider is considered of greater quality and it is ranked among the best in the world.
BRANDY REGIONS IN SPAIN
There are 3 major wine regions: TOMELLOSO, JEREZ and PENEDES. Brandy and Cognac both are ellaborated distilling grapes but the are some differences. Brandy can be elaborated from different types of grapes while Cognac has to be elaborated from white grapes. The distillation process is also different Brandy is distilled once while Cognac is distilled twice.
